One solution for reducing the consumption of your laptop battery is to reduce the brightness level for your monitor. The brightness level automatically changes once you start running out of battery, but you cannot adjust it directly from your desktop. This program provides you with a quick and simple way to make your screen brighter or lighter from your Start bar.
The application displays a small brightness slider on your screen which can be adjusted according to your needs. You can hide this controller from your desktop if needed. Adjust Laptop Brightness lives on your system tray from where you can access additional options and quit the program. By moving your mouse cursor over the app's icon you can reveal the current brightness level.
A good thing would be if the utility would feature an option to define global hotkeys for controlling the brightness slider or changing its level to maximum or minimum brightness.
Another aspect you need to take into consideration is that you can find cheaper solutions for adjusting the brightness level on your desktop. For instance, you can go to Display settings on your PC or try different Windows tools. I don't think this program's price is justifiable.
With that being said, I think you should try a different solution for changing the brightness level on your laptop.
- Comes with easy-to-configure settings.
- Doesn't slow down the performance of your system while operating.
- Has an option to turn off your monitor
- Lacks an option to define global hotkeys.
- There are cheaper solutions
